On Thursday, July 30th, the committee to elect Gaoteoete & Fai'ivae held a campaign WAVE in Tafuna. Before the WAVE Ms. Edan Brown motivated and energized crowed with Gaoteote and Fai'ivae cheers. The event was a three-fold function. The first part of the program started at 3:30 pm with the opening remarks by Chairman To'oto'o Malaepule Moliga followed by an opening prayer by Rev. Pili Gaoteoteo. Honorable Fai'ivae Godinet's delivered the first of its kind speech welcome the supporters and village committees. Before the crowd took to the streets, To'oto'o reminded the supporters to be safe and not to block the traffic.
The second part of the program was the actual WAVE, where committee members took to the street to wave at the motorist for their support. The wave stretched from the West of Tafuna High School to the Eastern end of KT mart. Seven DJs were used to accommodate the event. The WAVE lasted for only forty-five minutes.
The 3rd and final part of the program concluded with a dance performance by Laulii Youth. This was followed by a closing speech by Honorable Gaoteote P. Tofau. Gaoteote thanked all the supporters for their support and the youth for organizing the event. He elaborated on their Platform, which is grounded by the acronym S.H.I.F.T. S for sustaining the process that affects success. H to honor the issues by resolving them. I for initiate solutions. F to focus on the future. And finally, T for teamwork to drive the moment. The event concluded with the ending prayer by Rev. Gaoteote.

The supporters for Gaoteote & Fai'ivae show their support at the GF rally in Fagatogo. The wave was the first of its kind as it was live on social media as it was streamed by "684 Media". Three sides of the Fagatogo streets were covered by the EASTERN, CENTRAL, and WESTERN districts. Each district had its DJ who kept the supporters excited and dancing during the one hour wave. The highlight of the wave was not the DJs or the Award Ceremony. It was the humble and emotional speeches by the candidates. See full coverage of the wave at "684 Media" Facebook page.

The Youth to Elect Gaoteote and Fai'ivae for Governor and Lt. Governor have been holding a sign decoration competition for a week now. Over the weekend of June 20th, they visited the different sites taking photos and evaluating the decorations. Friday morning, April 3rd, the Law Enforcement officers protecting the COVID-19 Shelters, were treated with Treats from the Youth Committee for Gaoteote and Faiivae. The goodies ranged from cinnamon rolls, donuts, croissants, tuna melts, sausage egg and cheese, egg sandwich, cinnamon twists, along with cold Gatorades. The message to the Law Enforcement officers was simple. Thank you for your service. In Samoan, "Faafetai Tautua." This message was echoed in the Youth Committees Facebook page posted by a committee member. "Thank you to all our **Law Enforcement Officers ** for your patience as we face the enormous pressure brought on by COVID-19. On Saturday, March 28th, the Youth Committee for Gaoteote & Fai'ivae donated toiletries, snacks, fruits, wipes, tissues, and water to the Department of Public Health Director Motusa Tuileama Nua as their "TAUTUA" to the quarantine travelers people of American Samoa. The donation of items was distributed to the VA shelter, Kananafou shelter, Fatu o Aiga shelter, and the Leone shelter. Before the committee went out to distribute the items, candidates Gaoteote Palaie Tofau and Fai'ivae Iuli Godinet gave their blessings to the Youth Committee. 03/30/2020

The Leone Youth Committee to elect Gaoteote and Faiivae hosted a Youth Sports Day on Saturday, March 14th. Several Teams from GF Youth Committees like Aoa, Vatia, Aasu/Aoloau, Malaeloa, and Alataua County joined in on the fun. Games played included Dodgeball/Togitogi I’a, Handball/Lape, and Tug o’ War/Tosoga Maea. It was a great fellowship among the youth, full of laughter, food, and fun. Gaoteote and Faiivae joined in on the action playing a round of tug o’ war. Special thanks to youth members from Leone Catholic Parish Koluse Paia and Red-Demption of Leone High School for taking part as well. It was a successful event with a great turnout! See

On Thursday evening, March 12, around 6 pm, the Vatia and Afono Youths for Gaoteote ma Fai'iave hosted a "Meet and Greet" of the candidates in the village of Vatia. The ceremony started with a street wave followed by visiting the village homes. The gathering continued into the Gaoteote guest house or "Fale tali malo." There, the candidates spoke to the youth about their role in society and why their voice is so important. Gaoteote ma Fai'ivae also answered questions from the audience. The evening concluded with the traditional finale of the Samoan culture, the taualuga, coupled by the Honorable Senators giving thanks to the Chairwomen of the Youth Committees and staff for organizing such a great event. Families in Manu’a were pleasantly surprised when care packages prepared by the Committee to Elect Gaoteote & Faiivae 2020 arrived by plane Thursday, February 27. The care packages included much-needed food and water supplies for the residents of Ofu and Olosega who are suffering from the aftermath of Tropical Storm Vicky and then Tropical Storm Wasi. Gaoteote and Faiivae believe in service. They have served their families, their village, their government, and their churches all of their lives. They believe action speaks louder than words and when they heard of the plight of the people of Ofu and Olosega, they activated their committees to serve those who needed it the most. As the winds of Tropical Storm Wasi eased over the weekend, the Leone Youth Committee visited first responders on Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22 to distribute cups of soup to say “thank you for serving our people and island community.” (Update 02/24/2020)
